WHAT IS MIND RESILIENCE?

“Resilience is the ability to rebound from adversity and change through a process of positive adaptation.  People have individual strengths and resources that can foster resilience.  Additionally, resilience can be learned, cultivated, and practiced.

Resilience is a fluid, dynamic process that is influenced by one’s temperament, insight, and skill set.  It can also be influenced by life events, environment, and conditions.  During childhood, resilience may be influenced by support systems that nurture and provide a sense of safety, competency and secure attachments.”               -revised 5.2024 by the Resilience COP
