About the Session:
This presentation strives to cultivate the idea of “Laughing through Life”. Helping caregivers/individuals understand why the need for laughter and playfulness are important and identify ways to be intentional about making sure such things are a part of your daily life.
About the Facilitator:
Jeannette, known as Ms. Jay, is a seasoned and accomplished human service worker with a remarkable career spanning over two decades. Ms. Jay took on a pioneering role as the Empowering Children’s Program Director at Village of Hope, a position she continues to excel in today. In addition to her role as Program Director, Ms. Jay is a Respite Caseworker and Parent Advocate at Children’s Choice. Her tireless efforts have positively impacted countless at-risk families and children, providing them with the support and guidance they need to thrive.

Issues in Men’s Mental Health
The presentation will examine the current state of the science around men’s mental health. Topics will include cultural factors affecting men’s mental health, the unique presentation of depression and suicidal ideation/behavior among men, and men’s patterns of mental health care usage. Practice recommendation based on this science will be shared.
